EMBROIDERY INFO

What Is Embroidery?

Embroidery is the art of stitching thread directly into fabric to create a textured, durable design. Instead of printing ink, we use thread and needle to build each element—lettering, logo shapes, and fills—layer by layer.

The result: a vibrant, professional look that lasts wash after wash, perfect for hats, jackets, polos, and other premium apparel.

Why Brands Choose Embroidery

  • - Feels premium and adds real dimension.
  • - Won’t crack, fade, or peel—ideal for long-term wear.
  • - Perfect for uniforms, branded merch, and corporate apparel.

How Embroidery Works

We handle every step in-house so your logo gets the attention of our professional digitizers. The process is streamlined into four main phases:

1

Upload Your Logo

Send us your vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) or a high-res PNG/JPEG. If your file is low-resolution, we’ll redraw it in-house to ensure crisp stitching.

2

Digitizing

Our expert digitizers convert your artwork into a stitch-map, deciding stitch types, angles, and densities:

  • Satin Stitches: Raised, smooth rows—ideal for outlines and lettering.
  • Fill Stitches: Dense coverage for larger areas of color.
  • Underlay Stitches: Base layer to stabilize fabric and prevent puckering.
3

Production

Once you approve the digitized mockup, our industrial embroidery machines stitch your logo thread by thread. The base price covers up to 10,000 stitches.

4

Quality Check & Shipping

Every piece is hand-inspected: loose threads are trimmed, alignment is verified, and stitch density is checked. Then we neatly fold, bag, and ship—5–10 business days after your approval (rush options available).

Get the Best Results

To ensure your design stitches out cleanly and crisply, follow these best-practice guidelines:

✅ What Works Well

  • Bold, Simplified Logos: Thick lines and fewer sharp corners translate into clearer stitches.
  • Sans-Serif & Block Fonts: Text should be at least 4 mm tall with stroke widths ≥ 2 mm to remain legible.
  • Limited Colors: 1–4 thread colors keep the design clean. We can handle up to 6 standard; custom quotes for 10+.
  • Contrast Is Key: Ensure thread colors contrast well with garment fabric so details don’t blend in.

🚫 What to Avoid

  • Fine Details & Gradients: Tiny flourishes or shading won’t stitch smoothly—opt for solid fills.
  • Thin Outlines: Anything under 2 mm will disappear; convert thin lines to satin stitches at least 0.2 in wide.
  • Photographic Elements: JPEGs with gradients can’t be embroidered directly; vectorize or redraw as solid shapes.
  • Excessive Colors: Complex color changes increase stitch time and risk misregistration—keep it simple.

Advanced Techniques

Looking to push beyond standard embroidery? Explore our suite of specialty techniques below. Each offers unique texture or visual effects—perfect for standout branding.

  • 3D Puff Embroidery

Raised foam underlay creates a pronounced “pop” effect—ideal for baseball caps, varsity jackets, and any design that needs extra height. Stitch speed is slowed to maintain consistent puff.

  • Custom Patches

Standalone embroidered patches—crafted on twill —can be sewn or heat-pressed onto any garment. Perfect for jackets, bags, hats, and uniforms.

  • Appliqué

sing poly-twill fabric to fill a large area, the fabric piece is cut to shape and its edges are sewn down with satin or zigzag stitches. Ideal for big logos or blocks of color.

  • Mixed Media (Print + Embroidery)

Combine printed graphics for fine detail with stitched accents for texture. We print first, then use satin or fill stitches to outline or highlight sections—perfect for complex logos requiring both detail and dimension.

  • High Detailed Designs

For logos with intricate elements—fine lines, small icons, or tight curves—we optimize stitch paths, adjust density, and use different stitch types.

  • Oversized Designs

Have a large design requiring 20,000–100,000+ stitches? We can handle it all—from multi-hooping to high-density fills—so your big artwork comes out crisp and uniform. Send us your logo for a custom quote.

Because these techniques involve extra setup—specialty materials, foam, or multiple steps—pricing varies. Contact us for a custom quote.
